Venerex Cream
We found it worthwhile to examine this topic due to the fact that it is the first time this product has been produced in Turkey, it has undergone extensive scientific research, and it provides valuable information for individuals dealing with warts. Reading this article will help you gain detailed knowledge about wart treatments.
Our clinic, with 23 years of experience, has treated the highest number of patients with anal warts, genital warts, and body warts in Turkey. We provide services with all the advanced technologies developed for wart treatment. Particularly in the case of anal warts, achieving a complete cure in a single session was almost impossible for any patient. Similarly, treating external genital warts required multiple sessions. Additionally, we faced significant challenges when treating adult patients with dozens of warts on their facial areas or children with just a few warts.
For our patients undergoing anal wart treatment, we used to prescribe Veregen Pomade or Veregreen Pomade to ensure better results and reduce the need for additional treatment sessions. However, most of our patients struggled to obtain Veregen from the U.S. and Veregreen from Europe. As a result, we had to apply multiple treatment sessions.
Last year, a reliable company in Turkey introduced a product called Venerex Pomade, which contains the same active ingredients as Veregen and Veregreen Pomade, and it is now available on pharmacy shelves.
All three of these creams have FDA approval and can be used safely with high treatment success rates. These creams contain catechin, which is purified from green tea extract. In the U.S., they are produced in 10% and 15% formulations, while the European Veregreen is also available in 10% and 15% catechin concentrations. The Turkish-made Venerex Pomade contains 15% catechin.
The 10% formulations are generally recommended for children due to their more sensitive skin, while the 15% formulations are preferred for adults.
What Are the Benefits of Catechin?
Catechins have unique effects on the virus that differentiate them from other wart treatments:
- Boosts the immune system (immunotherapy).
- Has antiviral properties, reducing the viral load.
- Induces apoptosis (cell death) in virus-infected cells.
- Prevents the spread of the virus to surrounding areas.
- Has anti-tumor properties, which is why it is also used in the treatment of skin cancer.
Thanks to these diverse effects, catechin-based treatments yield better results than other antiviral medications. Unlike acid-based wart treatments, catechin does not cause burns on the surrounding skin.
Venerex Price
As of February 2025, the retail price of Venerex in Turkey ranges between 600–700 TL.
When evaluated in terms of effectiveness, success rate, side effects, and price, Venerex Pomade stands out as the best wart treatment available in Turkey. One of its biggest advantages, especially for patients with anal warts, is that side effects are extremely rare.
Compared to other medications in its class, Venerex is much more cost-effective. This is mainly because similar drugs are significantly more expensive in Europe and the U.S.
How to Use Venerex Cream?
Although the manufacturer Defnil Pharma recommends using it two to three times a day, our experience with thousands of patients over many years suggests that applying it three times a day is more effective.
For areas that come into contact with clothing and may be wiped off during the day, such as the groin, genital, and anal regions, it can be applied four times a day. When applying, the previous layer of ointment should not be wiped off before reapplying.
Additionally, if the ointment is removed due to bathing, washing, or ablution, the dose should be reapplied — even up to five times a day. The goal is to keep the ointment on the wart for as long as possible.
Which Conditions Is It Used For?
- It is the best treatment option for early-stage widespread genital, anal, and body warts.
- For advanced-stage anal and genital warts, it is recommended after treatments such as radiofrequency, cauterization, laser, or cryotherapy to prevent recurrence.
- It is most effective for anal warts.
- It is not necessary to use it for a single or a few warts on the hands, face, or body. In such cases, radiofrequency treatment is a better option.
Venerex Effects
These effects are primarily due to catechins (polyphenon E), which are derived from green tea.
Green Tea Catechins (Polyphenon E)
Polyphenon E, also known as catechins, is an extract purified from green tea leaves (Camellia sinensis), a species in the Theaceae family.
Research shows that catechins:
- Have antioxidant properties
- Suppress transcription of HPV viral proteins
- Prevent the virus from binding to receptors
- Disrupt the viral cell cycle
- Increase apoptosis, causing virus-infected cells to self-destruct
These effects significantly increase treatment success, especially for anal and genital warts.
What Are the Side Effects of Venerex Pomade?
Catechin sensitivity is a very rare issue, but in some cases, mild irritation may occur due to sensitivity.
If irritation develops, you should pause the treatment for 2–3 days, then resume by applying once or twice a day. If irritation reoccurs, discontinue use completely. However, if the irritation remains at a manageable level, you can continue using the product.
What Should the Catechin Concentration Be?
A comparative scientific study conducted by Brüt et al. examined the effectiveness of 15% and 10% catechin ointments against placebo in the treatment of external genital and anal warts. This was a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study, and the findings were:
- The 15% catechin ointment was significantly more effective than the placebo.
- The 10% catechin ointment did not show the same level of statistical effectiveness as the 15% formulation.
Another scientific study compared cryotherapy (freezing treatment) with catechin-based treatment in the long term:
- In patients treated with 15% catechin ointment, wart recurrence was only 4.1%.
- In patients treated with cryotherapy, the recurrence rate ranged from 20% to 40%.
This study demonstrated that wart recurrence is lower after Venerex treatment compared to cryotherapy.
Can Venerex Be Purchased Online?
Online shopping has become increasingly popular in recent years. As a result, many pharmacies now sell their products on various platforms or through their own websites.
You can safely purchase Venerex from trusted online marketplaces such as Hepsiburada, Trendyol, n11, PTTAVM, and Pazaram, as most sellers are verified pharmacies.
However, if you prefer direct communication with the manufacturer in case of any issues, it may be best to purchase from the official sales website of Defnil Pharma.
